Description
This four-hour hands-on workshop equips senior professionals in Corporate Affairs, External Affairs, and Legal & Compliance teams to work faster and more confidently using Microsoft Copilot across M365 and Microsoft Planner. Participants move beyond passive awareness of Copilot features and build repeatable workflows for drafting and refining high-stakes communications, summarizing and interrogating complex documents, and coordinating multi-stakeholder work in Planner — all within the compliance and confidentiality boundaries that govern their roles. This course partially prepares participants for the Microsoft Certified: AI Business Professional (Exam AB-730) certification, covering approximately 65–70% of the exam's tested skills. It covers the responsible AI, prompting, and business content drafting domains in depth — often exceeding what the exam requires in these areas. The uncovered gaps are Copilot agents, conversation management features, and Copilot Pages. A self-study guide is included to close these gaps in approximately 4–5 hours of additional study.
Who This Course Is For
- Senior employees in Corporate Affairs, External Affairs, or Legal Affairs functions
- Professionals who use Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word) daily and have Copilot licenses activated
- Comfortable with standard M365 apps but with little or no prior hands-on Copilot experience
- Responsible for communications, policy documents, contracts, stakeholder coordination, or regulatory affairs
What You Will Learn
- Apply Microsoft Copilot prompting techniques — including role framing, constraint specification, and iterative refinement — to produce relevant, high-quality outputs across M365 applications while understanding the data boundaries and responsible use principles that govern their role.
- Implement Copilot-assisted communication workflows in Outlook and Teams — including email drafting, thread summarization, and meeting recap generation — to reduce time spent on routine correspondence without sacrificing accuracy or professional tone.
- Apply Copilot in Word to accelerate document review, extraction, and drafting workflows for high-stakes documents such as contracts, policy briefs, regulatory filings, and stakeholder reports.
- Configure and maintain a Microsoft Planner project for a real workstream, using Copilot to generate task structures, update progress, and surface status summaries on demand.
