This hands-on foundations course builds the structured ChatGPT habits and techniques that knowledge workers need for reliable, professional-quality results. Participants move beyond one-off prompts into systematic workflows: structured prompting for consistent output, file-based document analysis, basic data analysis with Advanced Data Analysis, and Custom GPT instruction design for personal workflow automation. The course targets professionals who are already comfortable with ChatGPT basics — starting conversations, writing simple prompts — and want to work more systematically and productively. It serves as the core technical foundations course in the LF-160xx ChatGPT series, bridging the gap between the introductory course (LF-16001) and the advanced workshop (LF-16000). Five modules progress from structured prompting through document analysis, data analysis fundamentals, Custom GPT instruction design, and a synthesis module that produces a personal ChatGPT toolkit. Approximately 63% of class time is hands-on practice.
