LF-20506 · AI Leadership series

AI Decision and Incident Simulation

Practice how leadership decisions connect when an approved AI use changes.

  • 4 hours, including breaks
  • Live, instructor led
  • In person or virtual

The decisions this course helps you make

A change in an approved AI use can require several leaders to act together. This simulation brings participants from different roles into one shared decision, with a clear statement of each role’s authority.

Work from a fictional business setting and supplied records, pass information to the people who can act, explain your own recommendation, and identify a practical improvement to coordination. The role you play may differ from your job.

Who should attend

  • Board members, executives, functional leaders, managers, and finance leaders overseeing approved AI use.
  • Groups bringing different leadership responsibilities into one shared exercise.

Before the course

  • Completion of AI Judgment and Responsibility for Leaders (LF-20501) is required.
  • You must also complete the series course for the role you will play, or have documented equivalent preparation for that role.
  • You are told your assigned role before the course and receive its authority for the exercise.
  • You do not need to complete every course in the series. The exercise pack supplies the business setting and records.

What you will practice

  • Pass a decision to its responsible role with supporting information, uncertainty, and a clear request.
  • Evaluate changed information against the conditions of an existing approval.
  • Defend an individual recommendation within the authority of the assigned role.
  • Prioritize a coordination improvement with a named owner and a way to check it.

From the first judgment to a defensible decision

Role Preparation and the Handoff Procedure

Review assigned authority and practice passing a routine decision to its owner, including acknowledgement.

Initial Decision and the Material-Change Event

Work through one decision as information changes, coordinate with other roles, and record an individual recommendation before the debrief.

Debrief and Coordination Improvement

Examine the decision process and identify a practical improvement, its owner, and how to check it.

Practice and participant work

The three modules run in sequence. Team coordination, individual reasoning recorded before the debrief, and reflection after discussion are reported separately. The exercise provides evidence about the decisions practiced; team success does not establish every participant’s competence.

Participant work: A shared decision record, individual explanations, and priorities for improving coordination. Team performance and individual reasoning are reported separately.

Delivery and tailoring

Live instruction is available in person or virtually. Prepared case materials support the exercises, with explanations, discussion, and feedback. The curriculum does not depend on one technology provider.

Tailoring can incorporate your approved strategy, policies, role names, and reporting conventions after consultation. Discuss your audience, scheduling, and preparation needs with Learn Flourish.
